On-call Doula Support
Through this exclusive partnership with Maternal Moments Doula Service, Arkansas Community Midwife offers a doula during birth for every client! This means you get the best of both worlds: skilled midwifery care and continuous physical and emotional support from experienced doulas.
How It Works
- An “on call” doula means you will be attended by whichever doula on the team is on call rather than assigned a specific doula.
- Doulas are non medical, meaning the doulas will not provide any clinical care. All clinical care will be provided by your midwife.
- When labor begins, your midwife will call the on call doula.
- The doula will come to your home to provide continuous emotional and physical support (think comfort measures, partner coaching, and encouragement!) throughout your birth.
- You get the dream team experience while your midwife and your doula work together to support you.
