Holistic Maternity Care for You and Your Baby

Pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum can be exciting, emotional, and transformative. Let me help you fully understand your options and give you the best care for your family. As a professional midwife, I offer a broad range of prenatal, home birth, and natural birth services, and am here to support your journey. I stay by your side before, during, and after the arrival of your baby, while honoring your decision making and helping you to have the birth experience of your dreams.

What does care with Arkansas Community Midwife include?

Prenatal Care

Prenatal Visits in the office following the standard schedule and a home visit around 36 weeks, booked for an hour each to allow plenty of time to answer all your questions.

Routine Labs

Routine lab work such as blood draws, gestational diabetes testing, gender testing, etc. are available to you, as well as ultrasound referrals as needed/desired.

Whole Family Support

Bring your spouse, your partner, your children, your mother, your friend—anyone you want! We encourage you to bring your village, let them ask questions, and celebrate your baby with us during prenatals.

Home Birth, Including Water Birth

Continuous care from your midwife in your home from active labor to 3–4 hours postpartum. Birth in your own environment, make your own choices about how you want your birth to go, and feel confident you will be respected and well cared for. A basic head to toe newborn exam will be done, and help establishing infant feeding will be provided.

Postpartum Care

A 24-hour postpartum visit in your home after the birth, a second scheduled visit around 2 weeks, and an office visit at 4–6 weeks. Phone/text support and additional visits are available as needed to support recovery, breastfeeding, and the transition to motherhood.

Breastfeeding Support

Jessica is a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and has over 10 years experience supporting breastfeeding mothers, as well as experience breastfeeding her own children. Hands on support, troubleshooting over the phone, and anything in between is available to help you meet your breastfeeding goals.
